If you just want something for plinking I would but the cheapest stuff I can find. For me that has been Federals at Walmart for $13ish a box if I remember right. They won't make one ragged hole but they let me get my scope close enough that I can dial in my hand loads and they give me good reloading brass at the same time.

Check the CMP site.....I remember something about some surplus being brought back from Europe....don't quote me but I seem to remember the price being competitive. And it was made for Garrands so it should work in any weapon that cal.
Sign up for Midways E-blast. I have bought bullets for pennies that would have cost .35 a peice. They are blemished, the color is off or bi-colored. They shoot and perform just fine. Average for 150gr .308 the last time was .14 a bullet. I bought some as chaep as .04ea.
