Default Four FTF today.....?

I had my .308 at the range today and fired about 25 rounds. Four of them failed to fire. Different loads, but the same primers in all. In the photo on the left are several cases that fired as they should. On the right are the four FTFs. The impression from the firing pin looks the same on both to me.

What could this be?

Looks like a batch of bad primers to me Lon.

Handloads? What brand?

It doesn't appear like they weren't hit hard enough. I'm assuming your hands were clean when you were loading them and not eating your daily bucket of KFC.

Were you smoking a bowl while loading? If so, the grease from the Fritos might have affected the primers.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I've never had a problem with any of the primers I've used. I'm thinking you may have gotten a bad batch.

Not smoking? Hmm...

Seating depth doesn't seem to be an issue so gotta be bad primers, or bad Karma.

Were the primers sealed when you got them? Did they look fresh?

I honestly don't remember if they were sealed or not. I got them at the gun club I belong to and who knows how long they might have been there.

Curious.

I haven't a clue, but just wanted to say something to show that I'm paying attention.
