They may work well, but I've never used them, nor do I know any special ops guys, SWAT, or military who uses them, their ad notwithstanding.
I'm not an attorney, but I've been told by very knowledgable prosecutors, that if you were to use these in a self defense situation, any first year law student would be able to rip you a new one. All one would have to do is convince a bunch of people who were not bright enough to get out of jury duty, that by the simple fact you are carrying that brand, you fully intended to kill the poor dead client. Not stop, not deter, but kill.
