Sorry, didn't know we were talking about a wheel gun.

When I think about casting and making black powder, I think of my Hawken Rifle.

That's an option too. I want the revolver for fun and range, and plan to get back into hunting next year, may decide to go exclusively with BP flintlock. Nowhere I would go would exceed the range of a BP rifle, maybe 200 yards, max.

Or if it is even considered lead good enough for casting bullets,
But... I just happened to notice one day (many moons ago) that you can find literally hundreds of those tire weight thingies laying ALL over the place if you hang out at your local "discount tire" or "bel tire" store.

It's a conspriacy!!!
Control the ammunition and you can control the firearms.

Impeach all of them!

I think the rumors about it actually effecting the ammo supply is the more likely conspiracy to get folks to panic buy again, to empty shelves and drive prices up.

Sierra Bullets states that this will have no effect on their bullet production, because only primary lead production is produced a that smelter, and they buy recycled lead from another smelter owned by Doe Run about 90 miles away.

The sky is not falling:

http://helpthesheeple.com/2013/09/13/hornady-president-issues-statement-on-ammo-shortage-video/

Smelting of raw lead from iron has shifted over the last couple of decades from the US to Canada and Mexico.

Knock it the F--- off in feeding the fear that dries up shelves.

hopefully you can click on link...a decent article on the lead plant closure. I am much less alarmed after reading this.

Bingo!!!

This ammo panic stuff is courtesy of the online ammo retailers, the scalpers and scam artists, the gunshow promoters and mom and pop gun stores.
