Sorry Cane, but I must respectfully disagree (to a point). Regular range ammo, FMJ's and low end HP's can produce a devastating muzzle flash from the ported guns...BUT...High quality PD ammo uses triple based, flash retarded powder that barely makes a glow out of the ports.

When the Compensated Glocks came out, our Range Master would not approve them for carry because of this "issue". One of the Sergeants showed up to qualify with his new G22C and was turned away. He convinced the Range Master take it to the line and shoot it. With qual ammo, muzzle flash was significant. With Speer Gold Dot, barely noticable. The "C" models have been approved ever since.
