understandable, but being snide & condescending isn't required to get the point across. personally, i wouldn't try to defend that.

gun owners are just expressing frustration, and they have a real reason to be frustrated imo.

There will not be a quick return to easy ammo. There will still be waves of people filling their own empty shelves for a long time to come. Ammo is a resource that is depleted by regular shooting and I bet many people are like me...I haven't really gone shooting for months and I am REALLY getting itchy to go shooting with a dozen different guns.

I need LOTS of ammo for that.

If I were being sarcastic I would have said something like:

"Oh yeah, look at all the ammo on the shelves, all calibers, and the great deals." I was just remarking at the newest thread by the latest individual who is telling everyone else how we can control the run on guns and the ammo shortage which seems to be ending anyway. That's not just expressing frustration, though I sense it is there, it is more like wishful thinking, a holier-than-thou attitude, and crying wolf.

At the same time another thread is being started by Chicken Little as to how the government conspiracy to gobble up ammo is at work or by someone else wondering "where is all the .22?". These are swarmed by helpful posters telling the rest of us at least they used some bogus App to find 50 rounds of Peruvian rimfire for $19, that it's all our own fault, but that it's almost over.

Tired. Old. Wrong. Pointless.

Been reading the same nonsense over and over, ad nauseum, since at least the Newtown Shooting in Dec. No, actually the election in November. No, wait, since the Aurora, CO, shooting in July of 2012 when it started the latest runs in earnest. I won't even point out the Gabriel Giffords shooting the year before that...

Again, welcome to the new normal. Yes, a better equilibrium will be reached but when they buy ammo to go shoot, for the foreseeable future, everyone will be saying to their cache of ammo "one for me, one for you."

Oooo..., just wait till foreign imports of ammo are blocked or all sales are registered.

But I don't mean to be confrontational so I'll just answer the thread's question: no you dare not!

The sky is not falling. Again

Chicken Little is a cartoon character. Still.

The current ammo shortage is not nearly as bad as it was in 1994.

In a few months, it will return to normal., like it always has before.

And it will happen again some where down the road. Be prepared next time.

The only ammo I have bought since the panic was ammo from Walmart. The only ammo I did get gouged on pretty hard is when I had to change out my carry ammo. This is the main reason I got into reloading. Even with prices like this on reloading supplies I can still load 1k 9mm for well under $200.

Just got a report from our nearesr cabelas...ALL ammo shelves had ammo on them...plenty of firearms as well. The sales guy did say, however, that he thought it would all be gone tommorow. Said they get hit every Sunday morning at 8am

While the ammo is returning to shelves, unfortunately the despicable price gouging is not...

That's impossible. You said you saw ammo and prices were lower.

Macroeconomics 101: higher prices are caused by the inelasticty of the market to absorb too many dollars chasing too few goods in the intermediate term.

Therefore no-one can charge high prices unless, well, what you thought was light at the end of the tunnel was really someone's tactical strobe light flashing S.O.S...

Cheaper than Diamonds is persona non grata as far as I am concerned!

I will never do business with them again and they used to be my favorite. I'm glad that this event made them show their true stripes!!
