Had a GREAT day at the Georgia Gun and Knife show with my children.

I sold an old No 3 folding knife for $200 paid $10 for it at a yard sale.

My son bartered a deal to sell two of his knives for $250. He chose a new Hi point .40 cal carbine for $300. Spent his own money and also bartered a free trigger lock cause he doesn't like the cable locks that came with it.

I bought a Lee 50th anniversary reload kit, carbide die set, and 3000 primers for $300.

Already had brass, bullets, and tumbler.

Also, for the safety concious the manual is not shown in the picture because it's beside my chair. On my 3rd read.

Gonna pick up a digital scale tomorrow. The one that came with the kit is crap.

Looks and sounds like it was a good day at the gun show. Congrats!!!

If you are talking about replacing the Lee Safety Scale that is in the picture, I have to disagree by saying that scale is not crap at all. It is a very good accurate scale. I don't trust digital scales. I am not crazy about some Lee products, especially their dies, but I do like their Safety Scale.

I spent 2 hours trying to get them zero'd out.

I had a set of triple beams when I was much younger so I have an idea of their capabilities.

The slide on the front is really loose. I used the manual adjustment screw to the extent that I was practically breathing on it to make fine adjustment. (Not literally breathing but making minute movements)

After each adjustment I made the beams move 3 to 4 times and they never came to rest at the same point.

Any suggestions?

Call Lee. They are really helpful folks who want to satisfy their customers. They will work with you. I personally have not had that problem with my Lee Safety Scale.

i have a Lee safety powder scale and they are a pain in the butt. I just ordered a Frankford Arsenal ds750 digital from Midway USA. I hope it works. I almost went to the gun show in Macon this weekend but didn't want to fight the crowd.
