I have loaded for right at 40 years, and I have not seen that happen.

When it happens to a quality made (Redding) die, that just goes to show that it can happen to any brand.

Redding, like most Co's are top notch+will get you back to reloading..Bill.

One email... and they took care of it. Asked for 5 fired brass, so they could polish the new sizing die to my brass specs....

I can not wait to get it back.... My Oly Arms AR is slowly eating thru what ammo I had, for coyotes...

Have NEVER seen that. That is like dropping a bowling ball, and having it shatter.

Just does not happen! Glad the maker is standing behind their stuff- good to see.

You definitely got the odd one out.
FWIW, I'd be shocked if Redding didn't hook you up.

So I sent the die in...

So I have a question for you regarding the chamber on the .243 wssm.

Redding just called me. The back of the chamber according to the fired brass I sent them is .007 over SAAMI specs. They are worried about case head separation, and other things.

They are going to polish a die to that chambers specs but it will kill any and all warranty on the die.

Is this typical with an WSSM? Or an AR??? Or is Redding just blowing smoke up my ass? This rifle has less than 1000 rounds through it...
