shot several cases of it thru my Garand so far, shoots great,I've had one or 2 shells im some boxes with slight rust on them where the glue got to it but SOS pad took it off and shot fine, have bought the ones in the clips also and so far they they were the best. after the crate is empty this is what I did with one of them.
Took the lid off and ran the big U bolts backwards thru it and mounted the lid on the wall, then put the box on the U bolts and held on with the wing nuts, I put few old military stuff I had in it .

I just got back from the range and capped off 4 boxes of this stuff. Man, it's nice to shoot a round with some authority after all of the .223 I've been shooting lately! Even the wife enjoyed the increased power level. Anyway, this stuff is very accurate in all of my bolt guns. The Weatherby was the best, constantly grouping under 1" at 100 yards. The Ruger Mark II Stainless didn't like it much, but I expected that. That gun complains about most everything it's fed. The Browning A-Bolt Medallion Grade came in a close second, with only 2 of the 5, shot groups opening up to just under 2". I'll be buying more of this stuff, as it's excellent ammo, and loaded stiff. I had zero extraction or ejection problems with it. Makes the .223 feel like a woman's varminter! Bill T.

Nor would I want it to be for my M1. For my '03 that's fine. I just ordered another spam can to beat the price increase. Can't afford a crate.
Do either of you reload? Have you reloaded the CMP surplus? I figured I'd start collecting the brass and someday get around to thinking about getting around to reloading.

I've been using the Greek HXP in an 03A3. It shoots pretty well but has some issues with the bolt closing with some resistance. The M1 doesn't actually care for it. Handloading it hasn't been a problem, seems the same as other mil brass.

I've reloaded a bunch of the the HXP brass. It may be better than Lake City in that when I resize it, I have noticed that the LC brass 9 out of 10 rounds gets trimmed while the HXP brass see's only 7 out of 10 rounds.

Thanks for the info. I never bought the Lake City, they were out before I started buying ammo.
