Default BL2C 28.5 gr in a .30-30 case

Too little?

I'm trying to utilize a ball powder and stay under the 1700 fps recommended for the Berry's 150gr FN copper clad. Will be running them through my Marlin 336 micro grove.

I'm a bit worried about detonation due to too little powder.

I have some Unique that I can work with and have recipes for that powder in a light .30-30 load.

Just looking to try the slower ball powder.
