Nothing funnier than loading a desert eagle 357 with 38's great huge gun goes *pop* slide never moves no recoil. Its hilarious. Your expecting some huge event and you get what seems like a 22 short heh.

Weighs exactly half what my fully loaded Glock 23C weighs, at 2pounds, 2 ounces. The Airweight, loaded, weighs 1 pound 1 ounces.

The Airweight preforms really well with plain old LSWCHP's bullets or even FN designs for that matter in test media. The bullet on the right is one I cast from a NOE mold from 50/50 alloy, tumble lubed with the gas check left off and shot out of my buddies S & W Airweight. It expands nicely at 7 yds. in wet pack media.

There is an 'old' load which many of the old timers swear by and I have seen it used (very effectively) once. They would load a 148 gr HBWC backward at about 850 to 900 fps!
The ultimate hollow point!
It will not pass the FBI protocol, but if you want a round with awesome expansion and limited penetration in a 38 it is still very effective.

I think the only thing it would take to revive the .38 Special is a name change. Very few American understand Metrics but any caliber followed by lots of "M"s is cool. Let us call the .38 Special the 9.7 MM X 29R. Every Mall Ninja will have one on back order.
