Default best way to open a spam can?

Is there a way to do it without a can opener?

You could try:

a hammer
a chisel and a hammer
a rock
a sharp bayonet
a die grinder
a skil saw
a band saw
a hack saw
a half stick of dynamite
a 1/4 oz of c4
a water jet
a laser cnc
a plasma torch
a cordless drill and a hack saw
an elephants foot
dropping it from an airplane
dropping it off a cliff
beating it with a fish whacker
beating it with a baseball bat
a crowbar and hammer
a screwdriver and a hammer

How else are you going to get into the can without cutting it open.

I have a can opener that cuts the seam holding the lid to the can and does not leave a sharp edge. You can literally put the lid back on and it doesn't even look opened. Maybe you can use one of those. These can openers are very common, cheap and easy to find. Like this.

This is the brand I have and I expect it to last a lifetime.

We have one too!! In fact, probably one of just about product they've ever sold. I personally like the Microwave Chip Maker (helps to have the Simple Silcer) the best.
