^ +1, the 204 Ruger would be a headshot only proposition on deer, and an iffy one at that. Not legal in most states I am sure. IMHO the smallest caliber suitable for deer is a .243, some argue for the higher powered .224s but they are marginal at best, and even with 220 Swift power behind them you have only a 150yd effective range.
