the box doesnt indicate buck. All it says on the box is 2 3/4" length,1330 velocity,1 1/4oz shot, 4 shot. Comes in a box of 25

Yeah, I get that. At 10 feet I would expect around 3 inches of spread with no choke. It's about what my 870 and 500 print at that kind of distance. I tested a few loads for pattern not too long ago but I did a lot of that at 10 yards instead of 10 feet.

I was looking at the size of the individual pellet holes. If you go back and look at the picture of the silhouette I posted, the pattern of fine shot in the belly was from Winchester #4 shot 3" turkey magnum load at 10 yds. The pattern is about 10 inches but the pellets are a smaller diameter for sure.

#4 buck shot pellets should be .24 caliber or 6mm.
#4 bird shot pellets would be .12 caliber or 3mm.

He is shooting #4 bird shot. Look at the load weight on the box.

OMG. Predictable. I wouldn't stand in front of someone throwing a paper airplane in my face or peeing on my leg and telling me it's raining either!
