On far distance shots, a straight bullet is important. But when we are talking an inch or so difference at a hundred yards from a burned out barrel, that only becomes fractions of an inch at 25 yard shots. And with a 12 to 18 inch vital zone hit, even a 'flyer' will hit its mark.
And I would rather have a crappy rifle in extreme wet weather than my Sako.

Remington Core-lokt or Winchester power Point. Whiche4ver is on dale. Ya don't need anything special for animals that small.
I didn't fight to defend your freedom so you could vote to take away mine.

I don't hunt with factory fodder anymore but both Ballistic Tips and Sierra Game Kings continue to impress on deer. They both expand very quickly and do massive internal damage, my hunting load for my 270 is a 130gr SGK moving at 3160fps, the BTs did great on game too the only reason I changed was the SGKs shoot one ragged hole at 100yd in my Savage.
