Bad 30-06 Ammo

I bought some surplus 30-06 ammo last year and it's junk.. Several no-fires and slow fires so I stopped shooting it and stowed it away.. Does it have any value of any kind or should I just salvage the clips it's on and chuck it out?

Don't chuck it out, the brass is worth something, as are the slugs themselves.

Not to sound like a total idiot.. But to who? Find a re-loader on Craigslist or ArmsList?

If you feel comfortable using Armslist, go for that. Otherwise, stop by your local FFL and see if they'll offer something for the loaded rounds. :)

Assuming the brass is boxer primed it can be reloaded if not the brass is still worth money as scrap and the bullets could be used again. Have you seen the price of 308 bullets lately? I'll bet somebody here would be interested.

Cool thanks for the advice guys, I didn't pay a lot for it so anything I could get in return would be great. Personally I'd rather deal with a dealer vs arms-list but a buddy of mine has scored some decent swaps..

I also have two boxes of these but have not tried shooting any of it yet.

The case you show appears to say FN 52? The FN ammo is generally good quality, but impossible to know what conditions it was kept in. The brass should be Berdan primed and as such not reloadable.

The box depicts USGI ammo from the Saint Louis ammo plant. Headstamp should be SL _ _ (year). Generally considered good quality M-2 ball ammo

Yes FN 52, good to know thanks.
The other has 42 stamped on it I believe, but there is corrosion so it's difficult to see.
