Default Anyone know where this white box Win

Know where this white box Winchester manufactured/comes from? It's branded made in the US and it shoots fairly well, I've had minimal problems with it and I've shot a bunch of it.

It's made by the Olin Corp for winchester in East Alton IL. I bought my box at my local gun shop.

Olin, in Wakulla County, Fl. also makes 9mm, but I don't know how it is branded, or whether it is only for military consumption.
One of my co-workers formerly worked in that plant on the nitro line. I will ask her what brands they made and get back with you.

There is a train that leaves there daily with the goodies if you want the schedule........

Wow that's a pretty hardcore story about their beginning with WW1 & 2, Instead of letting Winchester put them out of business by blacklisting them with suppliers, he just bought the raw material manufacturers and then later bought Winchester, I bet he was a force to be reckoned with!
