Default anyone else having a hard time finding 44 bullets??

been having a difficult time finding my favorite 300grn .44(.429) soft point bullets in either sierra or speer make. everyone is out of stock no back order.

anyone else like this bullet for their carbine/lever guns and has a source??

I haven't had any problem finding bullets near me. Have you tried any 300gr hard cast bullets? I like them over the plated soft points.

im using a ruger 44 carbine semi-auto. i dont want the added hassle of cleaning the gas port which is not easy. i bought it for 150$ a few months ago from a guy that said it was crap cuz it always jammed and currently didnt cycle. he had been using lead bullets so i knew all it needed was a cleaning. i have 70 left which will be enough for deer season. will be the first year not using my model 70. hollow points leave too much meat damage.

a couple of trips to the range and 300 rounds down range and i fell in love with this gun. currently have a nikon monarch 1.5-4 scope.

here in se wisconsin only loading parts come from cabelas, gander mountain and one small shop called fletcher arms. all of em have limited stocks and i regularly clean them out of .429 and.458 300-350grn bullets.

I havne't had a problem at all, anything above 240 has been in ready supply. I've had a harder time finding the light 44 (185gr) bullets.

Default hard to get

Jon I am really sorry to hear about the shortage. I normally buy some of my stuff online do googles for midway, midsouth and wideners shooting supplies. I live in a small town and the shops here can not keep up with demand so this is how i cure my itch. If you still have problems you can send me that rifle you can keep the scope we dont want it damaged. Thanks

I cast my 44 bullets. Have you ever considered getting into bullet casting?
