Anyone doing a reduced recoil for a 308

I am looking for a receipe for a reduced round for my boys 308. He is 11 years old and enjoys the rem managed recoil round. I would like to have him help me in reloading his own ammo.

Use slow burning powder and a light bullet?

Probably a fast powder and a light bullet. 110-125 gr SP and something along the lines of W-748 or faster.

Use cast lead bullets with 10 gr. of Unique. Light recoil, but accurate. Cheap (you can use old wheelweights for lead). Brass lasts forever.

Check out Accurate #5744 powder. I have used this in my .30-06 and lead bullets, and in my .32 Win Special. Works great. Easy to ignite, so no case filler is needed. Their manual has a section of reduced loads.

Put a Holland's muzzle brake on it and a Limbsaver recoil pad....anyone can then shoot anything and not be bothered by recoil at all !
