Old news, but apparently the firefighters in South Florida have very short memories. SAAMI put out that video several years ago. EVERY firefighter I have spoken to locally is VERY aware of the video.

This was posted on another forum a little while back and it is still valuable information to keep someone from having a heart attack when a neighbors house is on fire if the occupants are out, and ammo is heard cooking off.

Regardless of how old it is there's always some who don't get the "memo" and it never hurts to educate those who may not be aware and be in a situation where they can use this info.

ammunition loaded in a firearm IS dangerous in a fire. ammunition stored in internal magazines like lever guns or magazines can turn the metal magazine bits into shrapnel because the pressure is contained.

just loose ammo makes a lot of noise thats about it.
