Ammo doesn't go bad. If you can make a smokin' hot deal on 10K, then buy it. Who cares if it takes yoyu 20 years to shoot it all.

And BTW, in any serious crisis ammo is worth it's weight in gold as a trading commodity

My boss said after the election, when the revolution starts he is coming to my house. I told him he better bring gold, only gold. He offered his teeth, I declined.

He could have got a way better deal buying online. I usually buy bulk ammo online (while I still can).

Not around me. As long as you have the funds you can buy as much as they have in stock.

How paranoid can you get? Nothing is going to happen. It seems like some guys want something to happen so that they can play real life cowboys. Guys like to talk big, but what would happen if some cowboy wannabe actually shot someone because they thought some "revolution" was starting? The reality is that no one would shoot anybody except some nut and there are enough of those around already with or without a revolution.

Lat week I bought 1,600 rounds of CCI mini-mags for $95 out the door. The ammo is packaged in 100 packs in a plastic ammo box. I am hoarding round nose mini-mags. RN mini-mags are my favorite 22 LR ammo. Next time I get some extra cash I will buy 500 rounds of Aguilia 9mm 124 gr FMJ. There is no pressure on 357 ammo. I can get PMC 125 gr or 158 gr for $20.

Properly stored ammo will outlast us all. Ammo is not going to get any cheaper, no matter how long we wait. How is spending $500 or $1000 on Wal-Mart ammo worse than spending the same at Cheaper than dirt or Ammo to Go?

For me ammo is a durable good. I have picked up a box or two everytime at Walmart. Coupled with a little online buying. I fully expect any I don't use will far out live myself and be part of my estate. At .5% interest in my savings account stuff I will need is a better hedge against inflation, ammo, work boots or toilet paper it's all going up in price.

Same here- 9mm don't last long there but they restock often so a couple boxes of 100 every couple of weeks for the past several yrs adds up
