Default Guns without ammo are just junk metal !!

The current leadership of this country knows that they can never get the guns out of people hands-ask yourself how much cheap surplus ammo have you seen in the last 4 years/have you ever asked yourself why?Look at the increases for components/the a goverment hazmat fee of $ 25.00 plus shipping costs on powder/primers/The reason for no cheap surplus ammo-no import permits being issued--countries that want to provide surplus ammo-China communist block countries banned-then last but not least ask yourself the big one WHAT GOOD IS MY GUNS WITHOUT NO AMMO?

In march of 2009 I was lucky enough to find 13'000 rounds of Blazer Brass on the shelves at a Walmart in Louisville KY.

I bought it all.

This was in a time where ammo was NOWHERE to be found. I sold half of it and burnt the other half in IDPA.

I do the same thing! But you have to catch Winchester White Box when its in stock, so my conscience bothers me if I take all of them. So I buy all but one or two boxes so somebody else can shoot. But it is a great deal and its hard not to grab all of it.

People should plan better but Obummer is the gun salesman of the decade! You would think more people would get into reloading. I budget and plan ahead for shooting and stocking up, I bought my supplies 6 months before the last election. To each his own, Cabela's saw this coming and is selling a lot of bulk boxes.

I'm with you on reloading. I'm set for .40, .45 and my wife just bought 9mm dies that delivered last night. I'm going to get 4 lbs of powder tomorrow. Not to mention what I have already in the safe which is around 4k rounds of the three calibers plus 5.56!

I reload for all my guns, except the .22lr of course, and I can still do it cheaper than buying, plus its customized for my specific guns. I got into reloading back in March of this year and I've already saved enough money from not buying ammo that my press and dies have paid for themselves. Everything I've loaded the last two months have been pure savings.

Default Ammo life

To those that think ammo goes bad by just sitting around let me state beyond a shadow of a doubt this is not true as a avid machinegunner and target shooter-I have shot and currently am shooting military surplus in the following calibers 9mm/7.62x25/7mm/8mm/303/308/30-06/9mm Largo with dates of mfg starting for the 8mm Nazi produced ammo dated 1937/Turkish 8mm in the 1940s/9mm Czech in the early 40s/and even the lowly Japanese 7.7 mfg in China in the 1938-1944 period 7.35 italian mfg in the 1940 -1945 period and I doubt very seriouly that this ammo has been stoed in ideal conditions over the years-what about the .45ACP that was available a while back coming in from Russian mfg in the 40s and sent to Russian our support in WW 2 purchased by our country man and no doubt shot up and possibly stored for future use.
