I am finding it unusual that even reloading dies for 223/5.56 are backordered. Went to Midway, Graf &Son, Natchez, etc, all back ordered for 3 die sets. Went to ebay, HOLY CRAP!! 79$ for a 3 die set?
I did find a 2 die set from Lee at FS Reloaders in WI for under 20$.
I remember problems during the '94 era, but not to the degree of panic shown now.
Good luck finding primers too!

"Backorder" seems to be the word of the day everyday with most companies I've attempted to buy from. Hope this hysteria is over soon.

That's CRAZY!!! Man... last month before the BANIC started, I was buying Winchester 555 36gr 22LR for $20.97 a Box at Walley World. Can't find it anywhere now, and they're asking $60 for 500 Rounds??? WOW!

I was looking for about 5, 10/22 10-Round Rotary Mags (I have 1 10-Rounder...) the other day, so I could make 2 Sets of Tri-Mags for the Range. NAAAAA! Not happening! Too many Sellers on EBAY, scalping the Mags Big Time, selling them at ridiculous prices! I'm not paying $38 for 1 Mag, or even $375 for 10. Not gonna happen! I'll make do with what I've got for now, until the BANIC dies down later. Then..... those that are Price Gouging..... and they know who they are..... will be stuck with those Mags, until they offer them For Sale at realistic prices!

Cheers!

I picked a box of .22LR CCI Tactical 40 grain (375 rds) for $23.99 at sportsman's today. They had 100 boxes come in today on truck day.

Anything "assault rifle" (223, 7.62x39, 308, 5.7, etc) or high capacity (9mm, 22lr) related has tremendous pull.

Four years ago I entered the world of firearms. Poor timing on my part. I recall hitting Walmart and similar stores at 7am hoping something arrived (so that I could buy the two-box limit), only to find that they still had nothing but shelves full of 12ga.

I've since made a habit of constantly expanding my ammo stash for exactly this moment. My rule is that I try to have 1K+ rounds of anything I shoot regularly, with about 20% being premium/HP defense/match type rounds. Those that I shoot a lot I have quite a bit more of, including probably 8-10K 22lr. It's nice to be able to avoid the rat race and insane prices of the moment, and also help out a fellow shooter in need every now and again.

I went to Meijers today looking at what ammo they had available and there was 15 boxes of .380 a couple boxes of .22mag and some random bolt cartridges. They had quite a fee different 12ga shells but didnt get any. Went to Wally world after that and they had about the same selection but they also had a few boxes of .40S&W and .17hmr but they did have some 00 buck shot so I bought some. But now they have a three box limit a day per person. I remember going there last year and buying 15 boxes and they still had plenty of stock on the shelves. Only time will tell.

Palmetto gets .223 in randomly, you just have to check the site frequently. Even if you do get in on a buy, the ship times are painfully long. If you are looking for .22, it's become a ghost. I just got 1000 rounds CCI MINIMAG from Woodbury's in Ohio. Shipped I got 1000 for $94. When it arrived, one of the bricks had broken and a few rounds had been damaged. I emailed basically just letting them know, as I knew that they had run out of stock. They credited me for 1 100 round brick no questions asked. So I ended up with like 993 rounds for $87.
