Well I'm screwed. I only have 100 rounds of .223, 65 rounds of 9mm, and 8 rounds of .45acp.

I'm saying it sounds silly for someone to complain that other people prepared and those people shouldn't be allowed to buy ammo

If you're interested in stocking up I use ammoseek.com

But good luck ... Online is just as dry as your LGS

Even though I'm happy with my current stockpile I still wanted more. When what I had was no longer available I started looking at rounds that were abundantly available

I found the 7.62x54r ... Bought a metric **** load ten bought a rifle that fires it (mosin nagant)
www.ammoseek.com Thanks very much!

Two boxes of ammo, targets, one lane (one hour) and 2 meals for 40.00 every Friday, Saturday night. Not to bad. I'll keep supporting them every other week.
Monday nights also. They aren't nearly as crowded. I like Range USA, good people there.

Someday, the tax per round may be that much.

There must be some rich mother-truckers on this forum. That or you bought your ammo, a semi load, in 1967 and are still using it.

I buy what I can, when I can. If a certain caliber falls below 1000 rounds I stop shooting it until it crosses 1000 again. I get unhappy if it does because it takes money to replace and I only have so much. Better for me to buy 100 or 200 rounds here and there and stock pile it up.
The last time I went out and just wasted ammo, was 40 years ago. .22 was 50 cents a box, $5.00 a brick, and $4.00 a brick on sale.

Now, I shoot what I have to, which is almost nothing.

I just don't get it. Why would there need to be a run on ammo. I mean if ANY weapons ban goes into effect (which we know won't anyway) they're not going to ban ammo?!? So why hoard ammo NOW when ammo is at the highest prices I've EVER seen?!
Went to a half dozen stores today, no .25, .32, 223/5.56, 9mm, .40 and limited stock on .45, .38, .380 and 12ga. I bought 3 boxes (the store limit!!!) of PMC Bronze in .45 for $25 EACH. Brutal.

Hit walmart every morning at 7am, that is when most of them start putting ammo and firearms out on the shelves. You will find some.

You know there will be no gun bans, no gun legislation passed?

How do you know that? How could you be so confident to sit in deck chairs, listening to the band play, when we see water on the deck?

I have only been back into shooting regularly for a year or so and I was building up stock slowly by buying more than I shot. When this all started I was up to about 500 rounds of 9mm, 1500 rounds of 22 and about 200 shotgun shells.

I would actually be comfortable enough to go shoot some if I had 1,000 rounds of each and I was getting there pretty quickly until all hell broke lose.

I think all stores (including online stores) should have a limit on it at this point to give people a chance to try and get some. I am waiting for my next pay day to hit and I will stock up some more on whatever I can find. The 9mm is very frustrating though as I feel like thats what I need to practice with the most and I can't find it.

One thing that is DRIVING ME NUTS is all the ammo websites that have stuff on sale but nothing in stock! What is the point in that? lol

What the heck are you talking about? It's called thinking positive. And it's not by the hand of god that a ban won't occur. It's through the tireless efforts of 2A rights orgs and others like the NRA as well as their members like myself. I've written to my legislators more than a dozen times since this began. I am also going to a rally tomorrow in Trenton, nj. Yes I am confident that a weapons ban will not pass. I didn't say anything about my confidence regarding other legislation such as add'l background check legislation et al. That I have no idea how it will pan out. But again I feel confident that a weapons ban will not pass. And again whether there is a weapons ban or not, they're not banning ammo. So what the hell do you have to hoard it NOW?

The day YOU separate yourself from US and you think you are WE you begin chipping away at OUR solidarity and then THEY have a strong chance of winning. Since THEIR modus operandi is to divide ranks and conquer.
