Supply was a major factor when I first considered what caliber to get. A year or so ago all accounts suggested that 9mm would always be available. I even asked if that if there were more 9mm pistols, wouldn’t that mean there would actually be less 9mm ammo around. Everybody said, “No”. That there would always be more 9mm supply than demand.
Makes me wish I got a .40 G23 and a 9mm barrel instead of the 9mm G19. I didn’t know one could do that at the time. Not that .40 is especially abundant now, but it would’ve been nice to have the flexibility.
