From your last remark, which actually was kinda "witty", I believe you would be someone I'd enjoy visiting with. You have a great history of being "liked" here on the forum.
Dam- now i kinda like you
We'll "converse" more on another subject

Paul I gotta tell you I'm somewhat new and Hoss is always a great guy making jokes I really don't think he was attacking you in anyway. I don't personally know any of you but I've had a TON of people give me crap and I'm only try to learn and he has always given me straight no bs answers instead of being a di** and treating me like some dumb newbie? In fact if he could chuckle after he said that my bet would be he would, I don't think he was serious? Just my opinion and no I'm not trying to start anything just personally have dealt with a bunch of idiots on here.
Take care

I think thats a legit concern.

I recently got a brand new mid-lenght MP-15 Magpul MOE I had been in line for since before the bubble.
The front sight post was on crooked!

Not so much that you would notice it prior to firing though.

Once I fired, I figured out why the rear sight post was adjusted all the way to the right in the box.

So that tells me during test fire they noticed it.
yet in the current climate they pushed it out anyway.

Default Dark Days Ahead for NJ

Try finding 45 auto or anything else in NJ. Sold Out. Thanks to our out of state brothers who still have some ammo stock available. 23 new ANTI gun laws being voted on in the state house next week. In home inspections, 5 round mag limit, "state" run ammo stores, no out of state purchases, mental health exams by "state" doctors, no rifle calibers that may penetrate body armor, renew firearms cards every 5 years, heavy fees, mandatory liability insurance. The libs
Can't wait till every gun owner is disarmed. Sad days in NJ.

Default Ammo shortage

Hossfly, I like your replies, I can get "thin skinned" sometimes. I take back my response saying you were being rude and snide. IAW, my humble apology. I always known that if I can't say something "nice" then I shouldn't say anything.
Back to ammo shortage. Are you folks having troubles getting .22LR at the Wal-Marts and Academy's in Lufkin like we are here in Frisco, Plano area? I've found some on Gunbroker but I won't pay $90.00, plus $15.00 s/h for a box of 525 Federal rounds.
I shop at ODCMP and a fella can get 5000rds Aquila for $250.00 plus $24.95 S/H. I don't need that much .22LR but may go ahead and get it. I have a few friends, believe it or not I really do, that we share our stuff with at cost. I have a brick of .22LR I'm gonna have to keep for shtf purposes but have managed to get a few hundred rounds here and there.

px4storm,
How about a BB gun. Oh wait, you have to get a permit for that too in NJ. Maybe a water pistol, make sure it's not black and dangerous looking.

Default Ammo shortage

Just viewed the odcmp website. If ur eligible to order from cmp, which isn't difficult to become a member, you can order 30-06, attracts magnet, and .22 Aquila LR, 5000rd minimum order. The 30-06 comes in 200rds 30cal ammo box for $98.00 and the .22LR is $250.00 for the 10 500rd bricks. The .22 estimated time of delivery is 4 months where as the 30-06 is 30 to 60 days. I'm not seeing anything about 223/5.56 ammo delivery dates or even it coming back into stock. i'd be willing to order from somewhere that'll give a estimate, even if several months as long as it's at fair prices and not the scalp prices on gunsamerica and gunbroker. Enjoy the shooting sports.
