Its still very difficult to find 9mm here unless you are willing to pay double the pre panic prices in a gun shop. I havent seen 22 in months.

I have just held on to what I have and limited my shooting to shotgun shells which have always been in stock.

Once I can walk into a store and buy ammo at normal prices off the shelf I do plan to stock up some more. I have a threshold I would like to be at for each caliber and will not allow my stock to go below that threshold. Ideally I would like to have about double my threshold on hand so that I can still shoot some during the next shortage.

Hopefully we will start seeing everything back on the shelves soon.

I think we will see ammo back to normal in 3-6 months.

Still dry around here... lucky to find a box of match grade .22lr for the price of a small car. Keeping my ammo in reserve and just shooting black powder. Main point is still shooting... do miss my 9mm though.

I will be stocking up and also buying a few more caliber guns. .40 and .38 have been around my area pretty much the last 2 weeks. Too bad I only have two 9mm's.

Things are still dismal here but fortunately I stocked up after the last shortage and have plenty for a while yet.
I don't do a lot with a shotgun but just bought a case of 00 Buck. My pest control has for several years been handled by the cheap low brass offerings from Wal-Mart
I had forgotten what full power loads were like! Oh it hurt so good!! I personally would never consider using this stuff on a noble beast such as a whitetail deer but a BG
now that's another story! I'm still looking for a KSG but so far no luck!

We've got a Gander Mountain that just completed a remodel and in talking to a couple of their sales guys that I know little, they have been told they will be at 3,000 guns and several pallets of ammo will be on hand on for their grand opening May 23-25.

They currently have about 800 guns on hand and ammo in everything but 9, 45, .22 and .223. Problem with GM is they are right on MSRP for everything.

It could be worse, Cabela's is marking theirs up $50.00 over MSRP.

here in Billings MT we finally have a **** ton of .223 on the shelves at Cabela's. Might have to buy a Mini14 so I can use .223.

Speaking of Cabela's, I was just in the Hamburg, PA store yesterday (Wed. 4/24), and plenty of firearms, 9mm, 40 S$W, 45 acp., black rifles, etc., ammo still scarce and pricey. No 9mm available, no 40 S&W, had just put out about 100 - CCI .22lr 1000 rnd. boxes, Limit one/custome, three boxes of handgun ammo combined.

It was as quiet as I've seen that store in a long, long time.

According to an employee, this is their busiest store, first store to ever gross $1B, in 2012. They sold 38,500+ guns (of all types I'm assuming) out of that store and are way ahead of last year's pace in 2013.

And yes as bigjim said, prices ain't cheap.

LGS has a pretty good selection of ammo today. There was a good variety of .223/5.56 available and I was able to score a Remington 200 mega pack of .223 for $125. Not the best price but I'll take it for now. It sure beats buying 3 boxes of 20 due to rationing.
