No, the market controls the price and availability.

I'm having to resort to online purchasing, which I hate because of shipping cost!

So, I’ve ‘only’ got several hundred rounds of brass 9 mm left. The most I paid for it was .29, including S&H, etc. Is it is the opinion of the elders here that 9 mm will return to .25 per round, give or take, in a couple of months? Or does this look like it’s going to be awhile and I should be ‘conserving’ my 9 mm? It kind of sticks in craw to pay >.40 per round.

I guess I'm pretty lucky. The local shop near me is very good about pricing and have kept pretty well in stock with blazer brass 9mm at $13.99/box of 50 the last couple weeks.

It's looking like the gun legislation is stalling out with Congress. So, I'm thinking sales are going to be coming back closer to normal - and ammo will become available again.

I don't think now is the time to get all warm and confident again. I trust those evil gun grabbers no farther than I can throw them.

I hope you are correct, but when the ammo does come back, all of us should stock up a little more than we used to.

I think i'd be conserving it -
It could be up to a year before things are "normal" again

I was at the local Cabelas yesterday for a box or two of 9x18 mak. All gone! Last time I was in, the pistol ammo was just fine. Yesterday it was bare, except for some of the odder calibers, and all of the Buffalo Bore stuff. I managed to get one of the last 4 boxes they had of 38 Special wadcutters, and then wandered over to find Herter's .243 for $15/20 in brass cases.
They had just gotten a big shipment of 7.62x39 (Herter's steel case) and it was stacked up everywhere. Plenty of hunting quality ammo on the shelves, and shotgun shells out your ears. Maybe time to switch to shotgun sports!
