The fine print for .22LR was check the website for availability. Not worth the mouse click. Last time I checked was only .17 HMR ammo.

From another forum I look at, a comment was the ammo that is imported, the importers are getting bids at the port from anonymous parties willing to pay double and more for 3/4 of the containers, they indicated that could be government. Would not be surprised at all!

It's going to get better, just be patient...

At my fav LGS yesterday, said they get regular shipments, they just go fast...

Picked up a couple boxes of 50 ct Federal HV Match @ $5.99 per 50... Didn't really need it, but I like having a variety, and I had 12 bucks burning a hole......reasonable price if you asked me...which nobody did...

Prices are still a little inflated but that's the law of supply and demand...(They also had 3 boxes of the Federal 325 40 gr @ $75 per, selling for 'a friend'...I told them he ought to be ashamed asking that much...they didn't disagree...)

Be smart when it comes back around, buy two boxes, use one, buy two more, use one...it adds up fast...

Went to my local walmart yesterday, and they had quite a bit of ammo in stock. No .22lr though. Plenty of .223, .40, .380, .45 and even some 7.62x39. I'm actually going to have to start shopping around again soon. My wife is leaving Cabela's That discount has been used and abused

I saw the advertisement as well. There is no way a 22 LR can reach a velocity of 1,700 fps. 40 gr 22 wmr ammo has a velocity of 1,900 fps and some 30 gr rounds can reach 2,100 fps. There is not enough room in a 22 LR case for enough powder to reach 1,700 fps. Even if a 22 LR could reach 1.700 fps it would have a ballistic curve like a frisbee.

Stopped by Walmart today and found some subsonic 22lr been looking for awhile. Plenty of 9, 40, and 45. Went to a new shop the other day and he had RGB 225 packs for $30 and Federal target 325 packs for 50ish. He flat out told me he was getting them from Walmart and reselling them. Then said he had to mark them up that much to cover costs.

feel like I hit the lottery today , heard Wal Mart was getting in some 22s today and had to go there any way so stood in line for a little and got 3-100 rd boxes of cci mini mags , the limit , then came home and checked my stash I have been thinking about from past years when I used to shoot and found another 1200 rds , hope there is no expiration date on ammo , will have to check LOL , Gander had a sale on and stopped by there , they were all gone , sales guy told me they had 50,000 rds , put the out in 1/3s and sold them all in 3 days , 1000 rds for like $24 , a guy at Wal Mart this morning was telling how he takes the to a flea market and sells them , told him so he is one of the guys messing it up for those of us that shoot the stuff and can't find it
