Alliant's RelOder Series
Is it just me or do others find Alliant's series of powders; i.e., RelOder 15, 19, and 22 to be not very accurate? There is one exception and that is RelOder 7. I find "7" to be very accurate in my .222, but then I think that rifle would be accurate with talcum powder. Anyway, the following calibers I have; .225, .25-06, 7x57, .300 Savage, 6.5x55, 6mm Remington, .243, and 8x57 all will group tighter when loaded with IMR or Hodgdon powders in the side by side tests I have been performing every week at the range. I plan to not buy anymore of the RelOder series of powders. The reports I have read claim them to be accurate, but I find them not accurate. Does anyone like them?

I love RL7 and 10, the new Varmit powder shoots and loads like H335. I have not tried the 15, 19, or 22. I load for my mini 14 and mini 6.8 and they do well.

The only one I have is Rl-15.. Havent really played with it enough to make my own opinion yet, but from what I read people love it in 7.62x54 and .308 (I read thats the powder used in the military M118 .308 "sniper" rounds)
The only thing Ive shot it in was a Arisaka and my Finnish Mosin. The Mosin liked it, the Arisaka not so much (but the Arisaka data was a little "flaky" and I dont trust it. It was from Guns & Ammo mag, but the minimum load was producing pressure signs)
I just have a hard time using it.... In theory it should work in most of my calibers, but theres no good data...
IMR-4895 will be my rifle powder (If I can find any...)

I use Reloader 15/19/22 on a whole bunch of loads in 223-260-25/06-7mm/08-308-30/06-and 300WM. I get some of my most accurate loads with them.
I also use a bunch of Reloader 7 for loads in my 458 SOCOM.
There are some bullets that shoot better with IMR or Hogdon powders that I load, but I have some great shooting loads with Alliant powders.

I guess it depends on what one's definition of accuracy is. Accuracy to me is 1 MOA or less. If I have a load that shoots 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" @100 yards I cull it out as not accurate and move on until I find a powder/bullet combination that is 1 MOA or less. I just get too many 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" groups with the Alliant powders. Generally speaking, the groups tend to shrink w/ IMR and Hodgden powder, at least they do in my rifles. I will continue to use RelOder 7, however. This group was shot with my 8x57 and Hodgdon CFE223 powder w/ the Nosler 180 grain BT.

My definition of accuracy is under 1/2 moa at 100 yards. These pics are from test loads for my Savage 110FLP 25/06
H335 is one of my favorite 223 powders,I can get some pretty awesome results with it out of my Savage 12 and RRA AR15.
I use many different powders for my loads, and use IMR,Hogdon,Alliant, and Ramshot powders. I just figure out which will shoot best out of each rifle that I shoot.
