AAA+ for Sartorius GD 503 scale

Just wanted to comment on the Sartorius GD 503 scale .If you are a serious reloader looking for extremely accurate reloads to the .005 of a grain .It's fast it's accurate and I should have kicked myself in the rear for not getting before.

I hope you got a great deal on that scale. I can't ever see myself spending over $1K on a powder scale, that's a seriously precise scale for reloading use.

I can buy a whole lot of powder/primers/bullets for what that thing cost, and I've done pretty well using my beam scale's for all these years.
It is a very nice scale though,I hope you enjoy it!

hello Tex ,

I'll agree I just sold a Scott Parker Tuned balance beam and it was spot on . I was finding myself weighing 2 or 3 times double checking my loads and what i have found is this is quick 1 time deal and really saves time . You know some of us guys weight with the same relative humidity and such someone said to the point of anal I'll agree. Lol

WOW! Are you weighing out your brass? DO you hold them to the same standard? How about your bullets. How do you adjust bullet weight to w/in .005?

Anal? Sure. Nothing wrong with Anal as long as it gives measurable improvment. I challenge you to find any measurable difference in performance unless all aspects of the ammo is controlled to the same degree.

Robo i wish it was that simple .I sent you and email about different machines for example Sierra bullet company and i believe Hornady both have this machine i have for checking bullets ,Weight checking is just the beginning I find reloading rather a job than and enjoyment.

You're over thinking this. A scale needs no greater accuracy than .1 grain. Use it to set a quality measure and throw your charges from the measure. Weighing every charge doesn't buy you anything.

My heavy barrel 6MM Remington shoots 1/2 inch five shot groups. I throw charges straight from the Redding measure.
