460 Smith&Wesson?
Has anybody shot this round or reloaded for this round? I like a good revolver and while at work last night I found this lovely round while looking around the interwebs and want to buy a new revolver. I was looking at the 14inch smith and wesson and it looks like it would be a great deer handgun. It can shoot mild 45colt, 454casull, and the 460S&W. Seems like a reloaders dream. Any insight would be great, how would it compare to a stout 44mag out of my 8inch 629 as far as recoil? Thanks everyone.

I've shot a S&W Performance Center 460 a couple times. It's a great hunting pistol, and accurate out to 200 yards with an experienced pistol shooter. The recoil was between a stout 44 Mag load, and a 454 Casull. The size of the pistol really makes shooting the gun comfortable.
If your wanting a long range hunting pistol, that's what I'd suggest.

Im planning on using it for hunting. I wont be feeding it a steady diet of 460 but its always nice to be able to if I wanted.
