I've found a nice rut in using;

Rainier 185gr flat point & 48grs Hogdon clays

Shoots great, medium/low recoil, good accuracy, affordable

Default My standard 45 load

All my 1911s seem to like 5 Grains of Red Dot with a 200 grain cast bullet.

Just curious, but you shoot your pistols at 100 yds?

Just curious, at a 100 yards with a pistol, would you not have to use Tennesee Elevation to drop the round in? Seems like you would.

Hell no. You must be using long barrels. I have no reason to target my handguns at 100 yards. 25 yards would be max distance and 7-10 is ideal. If BG is 25 yards away from me, he is probably running away. Long shots like that is why I have rifles. Hell, I would need a spotter in order to take a shot at 100 yards with a handgun of any caliber, short barrel to be consistent in target group. There are countless variables to consider before squeezing the trigger, wind speed, wind direction, range, target movement, mirage, light source, temperature, barometric pressure.
