.45 ACP Bulk Ammo?
Wow! I can usually find pretty good deals buy buying bulk ammo, but I was just searching for .45 ACP FMJs and can't find anything in brass for less than the equivalent of about $20/50rd. and only down to $14 for steel.
Does anyone have a source for cheaper .45 acp for plinking or should I just get the stuff off the shelf at the LGS?

Where did you find it for $14? I'm looking for the same thing.
And another question I have it, why can Natchez Shooters Supply in Chattanooga, TN not do business in Tennessee? They also can't take orders from Georgia and Alabama.

Have you tried gunbroker? sometimes deal can be found there but not always.
In all honesty, the cheapest I have been able to find ammo after shipping and everything is WalMart, although they haven't had much 45 in my area resently.
This is also a bit cheaper then $20/50. We've got some good venders here.

It was at cheaperthandirt.com. It is a 450 rd steel case in a sam can.
Thanks Spitty, I'll see what kind of price Ace and Walmart have today (Ace always beats Walmart here). I can see right now that my soon to be new 1911 is going to eat a lot of steel.

Check out Palmetto State Armory. Blazer aluminum 45 acp 230 FMJ, 14.95 per 50. $12.00 shipping on 500 rounds. 500 rds delivered for ~$160, not bad.
Ammunition - .45 ACP
One of the Mods mentioned this the other day regarding 9mm ammo.
I agree WalMart is a good place to buy target ammo, IF they have it in stock.

Palmetto also has PMC bronze, $179-500 and I think that's shipped.
Walmart (if they have it on the shelf) is 36.97/100

While I have quite a bit of .45 on hand, the Palmetto price for Blazer is good so I ordered 500 rounds. This is great plinking ammo...

Thanks for the tips. My local Wally World had 1 box of .45 ACP. It was $17 something. Ace had WWB for almost $25, but plenty of it.
