Im planning on getting some SP bullets and read up on a good powder for the load I want and go from there. Any suggestions on a powder for my 44mag?

2400 works well, as long as you use mag primers, otherwise not all the powder ignites. Alot of people use Unique but its kinda dirty. Blue Dot works but is kinda temp sensitive, the loads seem to change with the seasons. Theres more choices out there, just not familiar with them.

I have used both Unique and Blue Dot. Both have done well when hunting deer with my .357's. Have recently been working up loads with Winchester 296 and it seams very promising. May use it this year maybe not.

Ive been using Unique with my .357mag for about a year now, with good results. I may try that out first and see how it works and try another powder if its not what I want. Thanks for the help.

Winchester 296 or H-110 they are both the same powder. These powders will over flow if you mess up and double charge. They are also the best powder for the .44 Mag.
