44 Mag hunting loads/bullets

Alright guys, I'm working on a deer hunting load for my 44 and I was wondering what you guys are using. The powder I'll be using is H110 and I'm thinking I'll stay around 240gr unless someone can talk me out of it. I'm really looking for help with bullet selection. I looked at XTPs but was concerned about them expanding too quickly so I'm leaning towards a JSP over a HP, maybe a Speer or Nosler.

What are you 44 guys using for deer?

I love the Hornady XTPs for deer.

For Elk, bear or hogs, I recommend the Sierra 300 gr. JSP. But only if you are shooting a Ruger. It does not work in S&W due to length of loaded round.

No one else?

I don't load for .44mag, but I have a number of friends that do. They swear by cast lead Keith style bullets. I use Sierra JSP in my .357.

Hard cast 240gr. semi-wadcutter. Great penetration and big bleed holes.
This selecton is usually the only bullet I use for hunting with the .44 and has always done very well for me...............

Lets see - Deer hunting with a 44 mag - Never done that but I think Hornady XTP are probably the best. MasterP's Recommendation should be pretty good also.

240 gr hard cast gas check SWC over a full charge of W-296. Texas whitetails barely slow them down.
