Does it sound worth it?

25 rounds. 110 grain. Would this even feed well?

Plus it's $22.99 for a box of 25 at Midway. I don't see it being worth it.

if hornady is taking the effort to make a production run of critical defense for a rifle that is all but impossible to find in half decent condition much less good condition... do they know something we the people dont??

Standard load for the M1 Carbine IS 110 grain.

gunnut07 07-15-2013 06:43 PM

Might make a decent hunting load. I am going to have to look into it.

BillDeShivs 07-15-2013 07:23 PM

There are hundreds of thousands of M1 carbines out there. A good personal defense load is always welcome, and I'm sure there is a market for it.

Like to try some.
The venerable M1 carbine is one of my favorites, but anything but 110gr fmj IS hard to find. I bought some IMI soft point some years ago and jealously hoard it. I might like to look into the hornady stuff IF it drops in price some. Sheesh.

Would like to try some in my OM Blackhawk, still trying to figure out a use for this pistol.

Use for the pistol hummmmm shooting it. Could be a good short range varmint buster.

Watch the video.... you will see the .30 FMJ bullet wound track then the Hornady round.

BTW, Speer is also going to market a Gold Dot tipped round.

IMHO, this round is now a much better SD round.
