Default 250 ackley data

i was given a savage blr in 250 ackley. now the fun part. i have the blr installed on a savage model 10 and stocked it with a boyds thumbhole varit target stock.. i have been unable to find loading data for this cartridge. if i need to i can use standard 250-3000 data but would like more information on the loading of this round.. anyone had any experience or have any information in print. i would really appreciate any help you can give me. argie1891

blr? Do you mean brl as in barrel? I am presuming that is what you intended. The Ackley cartridges are "improvements" over the factory designs. As such the .250-3000 data can be used as a starting point for load development. You can likely load up from there and squeeze another 150-200 fps. This venture is for experienced loaders who can "read" pressure signs.

yes i ment barrel i have been loading for 40 years was just looking for data like there is for the 257 acklely and others. i know i can work up loads , and will have to as each rifle chamber is different.

Sierra #5 has data, what bullet weight are you thinking about.
