Default 223 resizing die makes the neck too big

I'm brand new to reloading and just got my Hornady LNL progressive set up. I'm setting up my dies per the instructions, and for the life of me can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have the RCBS AR 223 2 piece die set. The first die is a deprimer and full length sizer. After I size the case, the bullet will easily slide all the way through the neck and into the case. I have the depriming pin set right, and don't see a way to change the sizer.

Any of you with more experience than I able to she'd some light?

Did you mic the bullets? Are they 224?

I did mic the billets and they are dead on at 223. However, the expander ball in the die is .242. Maybe my math is wrong, but this seems to be a bit too big.

A huge shout out to RCBS customer service. I called them this morning to explain my situation, and without hesitation they took my address and are priority mailing a few extras of the correct size part. I'm impressed with their great customer service.

Strange enough that the bullet falls into the case.

FWIW: .223 bullets will fall into most fired-UNSIZED-5.56/.223 cases, and they don't look strange.

A .223 case sized+a .243" expander ball pulled through would look really belled...Bill.
