223 Remington Magnum

My friend claims he has a rifle chambered for the 223 Remington Magnum. I have never heard of this round. Is there such a round?

Of course there is the .222 Remington Magnum. Maybe that's what he means. If it is definitely a .223 Remington Magnum, then it is some kind of wildcat.

I have both Horandy (1982) and Lyman (2011). Neither mention a .223 Remington Magnum.

We went over that, he swears it is a .223 Remington Magnum. Also discussed .223 Winchester Super Short Magnum -it is not that one either.
