Once fired brass is generally good commercial ammo that was shot, picked up and is intended for its first reload.


Sometimes cases go for as many as 8 to 10 loadings. Other times only 3,4 or 5. So getting new or once used brass is preferred over 5 or 6 time used brass

"once-fired" brass is generally spent brass from military or police ranges
and occasionally a civilian range. Since the military never reloads and
police rarely use reloaded ammo. You can with some degree of certainty
assume their brass is once fired. That is where the term comes from
it might have been reloaded or remanufactured product, you seldom will
know not that it matters alot. Inspect it carefully after resizing for cracks
and you should be good to go.

I've been saving all of my brass and trying to pick up a little here and there. Getting a pretty good collection built up. Will probably place an order in the next month or so. Most of my stuff is unknown life.

I have a 1 in 7 twist. I use a 75 grain Horandy BTHP. I use BL-C(2) powder. CCI small rifle primers.

With this combination my rifle will shoot 3 shot groups at 100 yards with all three rounds touching each other.
