Default 223 range rounds

Looking for the right weight bullet for shooting my bolt action 223 at the range. Looking for a good weight for 300yrd shooting.

What twist rate barrel do you have Bob? That will make all the difference right there in the selection process.

Most bolt actions have 1-12 barrels. You will probably find that bullets heavier than 55 gr do not give satisfactory results (YMMV).

I've been reloading 63gr Sierra in my 1:9 CZ. 300 yards on vermin is no problem. 52..65gr all work well

60grain Nosler BT or V-max behind a "stiff" charge of Varget

Thanks guys, sounds like nice heavy bullet will stay on target! I am going to pick up several differnt grn bullet in that range before I head out again to see what she really likes.
