Default 220 long riffle

Does anyone have experiance with the 220 long rifle?
I have a BSA 220 long rifle and it looks like it is a center fire .
What is 220 long rifle ?

Not much here. They are nice rifles and good shooters. Seen some on line going for around $1200.....

In a typical British tendency to be overly thorough, the .22 LR cartridge in the early days was referred to as the .220 Long Rifle. Same rimfire. There WAS a Euro CF 22 known as the Velo Dog, and there were subcaliber training rounds in centerfire- but not .220 Long Rifle.

This is a LONG article on British "miniature caliber" ammo. Scroll WAY down for some good pcis and lsiting of ammo. Miniature-calibre ( small-bore) cartridges

have you found out anything more about this gun? I have one it is a center fire, lever action one shot in the top. i dont know much about it but the guy that i got it from said he used .22 hornet bullets and i have fired them with the gun.
