In a typical British tendency to be overly thorough, the .22 LR cartridge in the early days was referred to as the .220 Long Rifle. Same rimfire. There WAS a Euro CF 22 known as the Velo Dog, and there were subcaliber training rounds in centerfire- but not .220 Long Rifle.
