Default .22 lr subsonic

Has anyone used the Rimington subsonic .22? How is the pinatration? Is it worth having for a shtf situation?

They have their uses. Makes the gun sound like a bb gun.
In a shtf situation I would think you'd be better off with full power rounds.

So they realy dont have enof penatration for
lets say head shots.

I wouldn't wanna get hit with one. They would probably work. I've used them on small game etc.

I've used them alot. I really like them. But the range is shorter. Everything has pluses and minuses.

The quieter the better in a shtf situation. Noise might bring 2 legged predators. A suppressed 22lr would be an ideal hunting weapon. Head shots would be best. I watched a Utube video where the hunter took 2 rabbits sitting together with head shots from a suppressed 22lr rifle. The 2nd rabbit did not move when the 1st rabbit was hit. Standard velocity and most target are subsonic. Most HV is subsonic in a pistol. The subsonic rounds are usually more accurate because of sound barrier buffeting.

Uhhh.... Just want to point out that ALL .22LR match grade ammo is subsonic.
