125grn psp 30-06 ammo

has anyone used or is using 125 grain psp rem ammo or winchester ammo in their 30-06? not the managed recoil stuff, just regular ammo, with good to great results? was thinking about trying it in my model 70. just wondering what people have to say about it.

I use the Remington load and get good results. I shoot it out of a Remington 700 that is zeroed at 150 yards. Coyotes and groundhogs are my targets of choice. Groundhogs are grave yard dead when hit, coyotes generally drop within a few yards of impact. Recoil is lower with the lighter bullet, but you still have plenty of ballastic authority to deal with any expected or unexpected target (groundhog to hog).

thanks flint rock, im mainly looking for a less kicking ammo without going to the reduced recoil stuff, plus it has the speed to keep the energy up on the 125grn bullet. i mainly hunt in mt laurel out of treestands, shots are regularly under 100 yds and now and then a open oak woods shot while still-hunting.

Good ammo, just make sure the twist of the barrel you have will stablize the bullet or accuracy will not be great.
Have fun with those critters.

I've never played with bullets that light but have thought about it. Since I got my 223 I've just let it fill the gap below my 150gr 30 cal loads.

dont they make the rate of twist about the same in 22" 30cal barrels like 1in9.5 or 1in10 or some thing close to that?
