Default winchester model 42

recently purchased a model 42 - good condition - 1933 production - not marked skeet or trap, but has checkered wood (stock @ forearm) - do I have something here?? Any idea of value? - probably a 90-95% gun.

Without seeing the gun, no one can accurately appraise the piece; but good Model 42s are always in demand and therefore have more value than their more common Model 12 counterparts in 12, 16 and 20. The only exception is a Model 12 in 28-bore.
