I hear about the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 shotguns used as police, military and home defense weapons. I never hear or read anything about the Winchester 1300 Defender used in those roles.

I was just wondering how many people have the Defender and use them in those roles. I have had one for over 12yrs and have never had a problem. When I get the chance I will post some pictures of it.

I've got a 1300 Defender and it's realiable as a rock. The 1200/1300 line of shotguns is, IHMO, the best pump gun out there. I've had a 1300 Turkey for 17 years and it has never had a single issue, goes bang every time.

Defenders bring a bit more money then the other 1300s but they are still affordable. They can be picked up for $300-400 depending on your area.
