Alright I finally got around to shooting the old 1400 today. Shot 25 rounds through it, my shoulder couldn't take much more at the time, then again this was my very first time shooting a shotgun of any kind since I was 11 or 12 years old and that was I believe an old .410 juvenile shot gun. Shot like a dream though, and I can't wait to shoot it again. I do wish it would hold more rounds then just 2 in the mag. I understand from another thread that this particular gun doesn't come w/ plugs you can remove to increase the shell capacity? Anyone know if that's true or not.

No plug. I know of no extensions either. I believe that model is like that due to the gas system. Dunno. My grandfather has one. I have handles it, but it has been years.

ok thanks for the info, that's really a shame though as it is a nice gun other then holding so few shells.

Ehh. I hear ya, but capacity isn't everything.

if you cant hit em with 3, you dont need a shotgun.

I'm not worried about not being able to hit someone because of only 3 rounds, and I know capacity isn't everything, so it's not like I'm getting rid of the gun or anything due to the low capacity. I didn't buy the gun for home defense, (I don't even keep it loaded right now) and it is a good fun gun to shoot. I just wish it could hold more rounds as I don't like having to reload the gun 9-17 times in one range trip (I like to shoot between 25-50 rounds in 1 trip)

im assuming youre shooting on a rifle range or pistol range, because most all skeet/trap ranges wont let you load more than 2.
