Default Winchester 1400

Hi I just recently inherited a Winchester Model 1400 MKII. It was my grandpas very first gun so it has a lot of sentimental value. I'm in Michigan and there's not much bird hunting here so I wanna make it a deer gun, so I was wondering where I can find a rifled cantilever barrel for it or have one made? Thanks

You should be able to find one on eBay if you cavy find one for a 1400 a barrel for a 1300,1200, or 120 will fit you will just have to take it to a gunsmith and have the gas ports drilled in it

No because all the 1300s are drilled and tapped .....Why a cantilever why not just get a regular rifled slug barrel with rifled sights and have the gun drilled and tapped

I've been looking at a couple different things like that, I've also looked into getting a cantilever rib mount? But can that be taken off? Because I go to Nebraska pheasant hunting every year and it might be kinda hard to shoot them with a scope on haha

I hate to rain on your parade, but the 1400 were not known to be a very reliable model, and parts are getting scarcer. I would no go putting a lot of money in to one. And, if I was going a long distance on a hunting trip I would sure take a back up gun. I have an extremely reliable gun and I take a back up anyway.
