winchester 1300 sabot slugs
 

I have a winchester 1300 with a rifled barrel. Does anybody have any experience with a 1300 with a rifled barrel and if anybody does what kind of sabot slugs shot the best for you

Hornady sst sabotslugs.
My uncle swears they are awesome. He has a 1300 nwtf 12 gauge he put a rifled barrel on. He is an Ohio resident and can only use a slug gun and says this is what works best for him.

Any sabot should work well in that gun, but buy a few 5 packs of different brands and try them out.

Run through a couple different brands. I bought a H&R Ultra Slug and it won't group Hornadys at all. Practically one holes Remingtons at 100 yards.

@akers06 if the gun shoots very well with plain old rifled slugs in the econo pack it won't be ammo picky. I don't know if you have a scope on your winchester. With a scope using the 15 pack 3" rifled winchesters it should shoot a 3 inch group at 60 yards. The light weight sabots do perform very well.

It's hard to take human error out of the equation with a shotgun. Mine kicks like a mule. After 5 or 6 shots I need a session with the 10/22 to stop flinching. I can shoot my Mosin Nagant more often than my shotgun without flinching.

Yea it shoots the regular rifled slugs good I can touch holes at 50 yards with the 2 3/4" slugs I'm not a fan of 3" slugs I've never had them shoot as well as the 2 3/4"....I'm a pretty big guy 6'1" 270 so the kick don't effect me to much...I have also heard that the 1300 rifled barrel likes the heavy sabot slugs like the lightfields and the winchester BRI's
