winchester 1300 sabot slugs
I have a winchester 1300 with a rifled barrel. Does anybody have any experience with a 1300 with a rifled barrel and if anybody does what kind of sabot slugs shot the best for you

My uncle swears they are awesome. He has a 1300 nwtf 12 gauge he put a rifled barrel on. He is an Ohio resident and can only use a slug gun and says this is what works best for him. |
Any sabot should work well in that gun, but buy a few 5 packs of different brands and try them out.

Run through a couple different brands. I bought a H&R Ultra Slug and it won't group Hornadys at all. Practically one holes Remingtons at 100 yards.

@akers06 if the gun shoots very well with plain old rifled slugs in the econo pack it won't be ammo picky. I don't know if you have a scope on your winchester. With a scope using the 15 pack 3" rifled winchesters it should shoot a 3 inch group at 60 yards. The light weight sabots do perform very well.
It's hard to take human error out of the equation with a shotgun. Mine kicks like a mule. After 5 or 6 shots I need a session with the 10/22 to stop flinching. I can shoot my Mosin Nagant more often than my shotgun without flinching. |
